Sasou Valley, It's People, and It's Customs

Sasou Valley and the areas within it is the primary location for general play. If characters venture outside the Valley, it is typically for the purpose of special events/missions/plots.

Sasou Valley is situated in the Rocky Mountains, in the general area of Colorado. The Valley itself is fairly temperate, even if the mountains get quite cold. The Valley has passes leading into it from the North, South, East, and West, but each are guarded by fairly peaceful, but mischievous goblins that reside in crude stone warrens built up into walls that span the passes, with a walkway between them big enough for a large cart to pass through. These goblins are fierce when facing a perceived threat, but most travelers are never subjected to anything worse than some minor pranks, or a somewhat hands-on strip search if they're particularly attractive and don't object with any real sincerity.
Once past the goblins and their wall-warrens, the approaching traveler is greeted with a beautiful, lush valley mostly comprised of a serene forest. The local trees have been genetically modified to have beautiful purple leaves. In the heart of the valley is a small town comprised of spacious white-walled cottages with red tile roofs. The town square is filled with shops, taverns, open-air diners, and has a fountain at it's center which is fed by a slow-moving stream that flows from a waterfall at the northern edge of the valley to a small lake at the southern end. The stream is crossed by several small stone bridges.
At the top of the waterfall is a cliff that has a smooth, snaking natural path that leads up to it. A pale grey castle with purple tiles on it's towers is at the top of the cliff, near the source of the waterfall. The banners of this castle depict a golden fox running through a field of purple lilies. This castle is home to Kit and Yuri Sasou. A short distance away along the plateau at the top of the cliff is a tower that houses the priests and priestesses for Kit and Yuri where they train, instruct others, and deal with mundane concerns that don't require the attention of their goddesses.



The people of Sasou Valley were almost exclusively lesbian, or bisexual women at first, due to the interests of the queens of the valley. In recent years, however, men and people with families have begun to move to the Valley. All races are welcome, but peace and tolerance is paramount. Since the Valley was a very sexual place when it was founded, it's common to see people wearing little, or nothing when the weather is nice, and consenting people are often seen being physically intimate with each other in public. The culture of the valley has adapted to see sex as a perfectly acceptable art form, and even the concept of sexual dominance has taken on a new role. Mistresses/Masters are expected to not simply use their 'pets' for sex, but rather take time to see to their needs, and make sure they are happy while endeavoring to better themselves. Being chosen by a Master/Mistress is seen as an honor, and it is a mark of how good a Master/Mistress is by how happy, and skilled their pets are, and not just in a sexual capacity. Those who fail at the responsibility are swiftly, but fairly punished.

Not everyone in the Valley chooses to worship Kit and Yuri as deities, despite their new titles. They are still respected as heroines, and queens, but they are also seen as friends by the majority of the Valley's residents since both are regularly seen in town socializing with the townsfolk, or even having a bit of sensual fun there.

The Cottages:
The cottages of Sasou Valley look like cozy, simple two-story homes out of a storybook, and while the layout varies with each one, they all share certain common traits that don't fit with most homes outside the Valley. They are equipped with plumbing, electric lighting, heat, air conditioning, televisions that can pick up signals from across dimensions, and even control panels for the cupboards and refrigerator in the kitchen which are capable of assembling food and beverages of varying temperatures from molecules broken down into raw materials from waste products, and the air itself. The panels have pre-made selections in an easy to understand interface, and options for creating your own food and beverages when the user has more practice understanding the device.
Each home is built primarily by the Metal Elves, sometimes with assistance by the townsfolk, and Yuri Sasou for the construction of the simpler parts of the house such as the walls, windows, roof, etc. Each new owner is instructed carefully in how to use all the appliances inside it safely by the Metal Elves.

Metal Elves:
The Metal Elves mostly focus on guarding the castle, but several do make patrols through the town to ensure that no one is coming to any harm. The laws of the valley haven't been made very formal, but violence, theft, rape, vandalism, and other such actions are typically dealt with very swiftly in a manner that seems appropriate to the situation.
The Metal Elves themselves look very similar to other elves of Valorin in that they are slender, with delicate, beautiful features, and they pointed ears. Unlike other elves, their soft skin shines like silver, and their hair is always a metallic color, usually chrome, copper, or gold, but other variations do occur. Their armor is plate mail made into a very form-fitting corset with shoulder-plates and a matching skirt of overlapping metal strips. They also wear knee-high plate mail boots, and arm bands. Their armor is usually a slightly darker metallic color than their skin. They carry golden recurve longbows that seem to be strung with several golden wires. These bows look delicate, and have a decidedly harp-like appearance, but they are very sturdy, and their strings are extremely sharp. Anyone else trying to draw one would likely slice their fingertips off. When fired, they emit a sound that resembles a synthesized harp. The metal elves keep a quiver of golden arrows at their back which create a small explosion a split-second after impact for maximum damage. The metal elves are capable of moving at incredible speed, and have been known to create beautiful, but frightening music when in combat.
